What To Expect
Location: Austin, TX or Fremont, CA
The Manager- Learning & Development will work with the global L&D team, Sales, Delivery, and Service leaders, HR and other stakeholders to identify, develop and deliver customer experience, product training, career development and manager development curriculum to support our customer facing team’s performance and delivery of our mission!
The role will also play a critical role in providing an ongoing feedback loop and partnering closely with central Inclusion Talent and Learning teams to create and deliver learning interventions which are aligned to Tesla’s overall business strategy.
As a result, the role requires a comprehensive understanding of effective needs analysis; strong stakeholder engagement and management, as well as the ability to develop and deliver learning interventions that enable our people managers and teams to meet and exceed Customer experience and performance goals.

Expected Compensation
$76,000 - $210,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. What You’ll Do
- Prioritize upskilling and coaching of management through Train the Trainer model of key Learning curriculum content to support cascade and embedding of learning in locations
- Work with a team to develop and lead engaging and impactful virtual training sessions as well as instructor led sessions as required in multiple languages
- Partner with HR to support ongoing Talent initiatives
- Close partnership with Sales and Delivery leadership to regularly analyze performance against KPIs
- Provide 1:1 performance coaching for Sales and Delivery leaders
- Organize and execute a strong ROI/measurement strategy to drive leadership accountability and ownership of continuous improvement mind-set
- Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to determine short-, medium- and long-term L&D strategy for Sales, Delivery, and Service
- Lead a team of facilitators, content designers and analysts to ensure ongoing management of strategy while pivoting appropriately to meet the needs of the business
- Knowledge and experience of Sales CRM systems a plus
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills including the ability to digest information from multiple sources, interpret results and quickly derive consultations and recommendations
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a learning & development environment, sales, customer service, automotive, organization
- Exceptional stakeholder relationship building, consulting, and influencing capability demonstrated across diverse situations and contexts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Pages, and Keynote is a plus
- Capable of inspiring trust and confidence through effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience managing a team
- Able to travel as needed
- User experience with both Mac OS X and Windows operating systems
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively evaluate key performance indicators in order to identify potential areas of improvement
- Exceptional training content development; delivery and facilitation skills with a naturally high impact presence
- Ability to work independently and be self-directed
- Ability to work effectively with virtual teams, and accommodate time differences
