A client of Sharp Decisions Inc, is looking to bring on a Learning Advisor to be based in Washington DC. This position is on a Hybrid model (3 days a week onsite). Position is on a 12-month contract basis to start with possible extension. *W2 and local only.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:
* Work with HR to assess learning and performance needs of teams and business units and create approaches to address the needs aligned with business-specific requirements. Develop and document a discovery process to enable successful diagnosis.
* Analyze and improve existing team building and performance improvement frameworks and supporting resources.
* Develop a curated set of resources and recommended solutions for HR to use as appropriate, including activities, discussion guides, and instructions. Build an easy-to-use set of intervention toolkits for HR to use with clients.
* Design leadership and team development sessions, products, and workshops that emphasize adult learning concepts, active learning practices, and objectives-based delivery strategies to meet specific business needs. * Partner with HR to assess business and learning needs and build learning, team building, and performance solutions to address those needs.
* Work with subject matter experts to design, develop and deliver face-to-face or virtual facilitator-led sessions using adult learning principles and effective facilitation approaches.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of solutions and performance interventions against business needs; provide metrics summarizing effectiveness and recommended improvements.
* Create performance support activities, tools, and resources to reinforce and sustain improvements.
* Develop HR professionals knowledge, skills and abilities to facilitate interventions (e.g., team building, strategy sessions, leadership retreats, etc.) in support of the clients. Provide training and guidance as needed to enable effective and consistent delivery.
* Establish project plans and conduct cost/benefit analysis for any recommendations made to business units.
* Investigate available methodologies, activities, interventions, assessments, methods, and procedures to determine the most effective manner by which to meet specific needs.
* Negotiate resources required to conduct sessions, assign specific activities to other HRG personnel, or hire appropriate vendors to conduct session to meet business unit objectives.
* Partner with business units and HR functions to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
* Produce periodic reports outlining business unit needs accompanied by recommendations and implications, such as changes in operations, budget, or quality.
* Deliverables include agendas, facilitator guides, participant guides, marketing/print materials, presentations, and summary documentation following sessions.
* This position has a high level of interaction with Vice Presidents and Directors, across and with others outside of the company.
