Data Analyst (W2 Position)

Title: Data Analyst

Location: Washington D.C.

Duration: 5 to 6 Months

Project Overview

The Data Analyst will primarily be responsible for analyzing various data sets and provide directive insight based on trending, pull the data from a variety of sources and then to organize and visualize it in sheets, pivot tables, graphs, charts, dashboards, etc.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Support an established program within and across an organization.
• Monitor and communicate progress, risks, and mitigations for defined programs and tasks.
• Execute processes and drive projects/initiatives that have well-defined scope.
• Effectively manage the activities that lead to successful outcomes of immediate team objectives.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

1. Deliver results on time using discretion and, in some cases, independent judgment in determining appropriate steps.
2. Proactively seek out guidance and apply existing best practices to improve existing programs and keep projects on track.
3. Execute against existing team-level projects and processes with defined scope and complexity, in partnership with more experienced program managers.

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Knowledge and some previous experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis
• Intermediate knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, DataStudio and/or similar)
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets
• 3-5 years of experience manipulating complex datasets using SQL and producing business insights, reports, interactive dashboards
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL (scripting for data analysis)
• Strong communication skills - ability to articulate data trends and issues both verbally and in writing
• SQL experience is required.

Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:

This role involves pulling data, analyzing trends, providing data to cross-functional partners for internal reports, checking for data quality and data integrity of the data in an internal SQL data warehouse etc.

Compensation:

The estimated pay range for this position is USD $58.00/Hr - USD $60.00/Hr and is a Non-Exempt role.
