Title: Level 2 Help Desk Support
Duration: 6 month CTH
Hours:
- Saturday/Sunday 12 am-12 pm
- The first 4 to 6 months the candidate will work 9 to 5 EST for Onboarding Training.
- One alternate day midweek.
- Weekend work:
- Friday 8 pm EST - Midnight
- Saturday/Sunday 12 am-12 pm
- One alternate day midweek.
- Friday 8 pm EST - Midnight
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of IP networking concepts such as the fundamental operation of TCP/IP, DHCP, routers, subnets, firewalls.
- Attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills (writing sample required).
- Working knowledge of basic electronic devices, computers, and related software.
- Able to lead multiple priorities throughout the day.
- Experience supporting missioncritical systems by phone with remote login capabilities.
- Willingness to work the occasional late night or weekend day to provide scheduled support coverage.
- A strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problemsolving.
- An understanding of and empathy for the company customers.
- Positive and customeroriented attitude and proper phone etiquette.
- Natural team player who enjoys a fastpaced technical support environment.
- Familiarity or experience with troubleshooting techniques useful in diagnosing system software errors (will be tested).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Integrator installation experience supporting competitive video management systems including IP cameras, DVR, and NVR systems from multiple manufacturers.
- Working knowledge of the Ubuntu Linux or related OS.
- Working knowledge of SQL databases
- Integrator installation experience supporting competitive integrated access control and security platforms card readers, motion detectors, strikes, maglocks, DSMs, and alarm panels.
- Working knowledge of Computer and Wireless Networks and the impact of device traffic, network latency, and bandwidth on system performance.
