Junior Financial Analyst Jobs

Job description:
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $75K and $85K/year*

Department (Region) overview:

Nomura Corporate Research and Asset Management Inc. (“NCRAM”). NCRAM is a registered investment advisor managing approximately $27.5 billion in fixed income assets including high yield bonds and emerging markets.

 

Role Description / Areas of responsibility:

Provide overall support of the day-to-day finance responsibilities at NCRAM:

• Work with both external and internal auditors on related issues
• Work closely with the Controllers Group on accounting issues
• Review company expenses
• Prepare regular management reports
• Review the expense allocation structure of the organization
• Product Control (Review daily/ME P&L, Book journal entries)
• Assist with the Company's financial planning and budgeting processes
• Coordinate annual financial statement audits with external auditors
• Calculate management fee billing

 

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge preferred

• Undergraduate degree required; accounting/finance preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; team oriented.
• 3-4 years work experience in the financial industry.
• Motivated and eager to work in a small, entrepreneurial asset management environment, with personal growth opportunities.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent computer skills; must be able to use Excel to create complex models.
• Work experience in a big four accounting firm and a CPA is preferred.
• Self-starter with ability to manage a project to conclusion and solve problems with minimum supervision; the ability to take true ownership of a function.
