Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director, Business Relationship Management will be responsible for providing senior leadership for the Information Technology Business Relationship Management team. This team will be comprised of Business Relationship Managers and Business Analysts supporting all divisions of Cornerstone Building Brands. This role will be a strategic business partner who shares ownership for both business strategy and business value through successful execution of technology driven projects. The director owns executive-level relationships and serves as a single point of focus.

Essential Duties

  • Provide energy, inspiration, and motivation to the IT Business Relationship Management team
  • Build relationships with key influencers and decision makers and increase confidence in team’s value
  • Support business units in their usage of home grown and enterprise applications
  • Effectively manage outsourced supplemental support relationships and assignments
  • Manage all people related aspects of the team (performance, compensation, development)
  • Set specific objectives, goals and direction for the team to implement the IT Strategic Roadmap
  • Create, justify and manage the overall budget for the IT Business Relationship Management team
  • Ensure the business is in full compliance with internal and external IT policy requirements
  • Manage the support tickets and process flow, ensuring all processes are properly followed
  • Lead when critical system errors occur and coordinate actions and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution
  • Adhere to Cornerstone’s PMO and SDLC methodology, addressing change management
  • Provide back-up support for the Business Analyst role, personally assuming the role when needed

Core Competencies

  • Required to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Thorough knowledge of MS office suite of products, including Word, Excel, Visio and Power Point
  • Working knowledge of SQL and development concepts as they relate to enterprise applications
  • Required to interpret a variety of information furnished in written, verbal, diagram or abstract form
  • Performs with substantial latitude for independent action and judgment
  • Clear, strong but diplomatic communication, with the ability to effectively work with all areas of the organization
  • Strategic and critical thinker with the ability to see the big picture yet still work in the details as/when needed
  • Provides recommendations to all levels of management
  • The ability to effectively motivate and coach the department

Qualifications

Experience managing Business Relationship Managers and Business Analysts

Minimum of 7 years functional experience, ideally participating in at least one large project implementation

Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience

Desirable to have experience in a construction or manufacturing environment

Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship

Must be able to travel up to 20%

The US base salary range for this full-time position is 160,000 to 180,000 + [25% bonus] + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
