Nature of Work Responsible for IT hardware and software asset management including discovery and tracking, reporting, auditing, equipment refresh cycle management, and disposal of assets in line with IT governance standards. The duties listed for this position are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed, additional, or modified as assigned. The duties and responsibilities may vary as the needs of the department change.
- Up/down stock physical inventory to and from IT inventory cage or warehouse.
- Input, track, and maintain accurate hardware inventory using the Service Desk system. (Includes: laptops, desktops, monitors, servers, switches/routers, firewalls, webcams, low voltage cables, etc.)
- Ensures that IT warehouse and cage are kept organized and in proper condition.
- Prepares and submits asset/inventory reports as required.
- Work with IT teams on projects concerning the configuration of new equipment and
- Work closely with Information Technician specialists to ensure proper IT equipment lifecycle.
- Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Disposals.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
- Manage day-to-day IT inventory/asset operations.
- Ensure deliveries against POs are correct and any outstanding or incorrect orders are remediated or escalated.
- Must demonstrate excellent intrapersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow staff, departmental administration, and management.
- Two (2) years of full-time paid experience in a related field
Physical Requirements:
- Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, sitting, standing, pushing, and pulling. May assist in unloading trucks and lifting heavy objects when necessary.
- Extensive amounts of sitting, typing, listening, and talking.
- Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of telephone, video conferencing, and personal contact.
- Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office-related equipment, such as, but not limited to, word processors, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with elected officials, coworkers, the press the general public and members of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds regardless of race, religion, age, sex, disability, political affiliation, gender identity or sexual orientation.
- Ability to serve the public and fellow employees with honesty and integrity in full accord with the letter and spirit of all city ethics and conflicts of interest policies. Strong understanding of ethical behavior is required.
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Performs related work as required.
- Reports to work as directed during an emergency as an essential employee of the City of Miami Beach.
