Job Description
Northwest Partners is hiring an IT Technician to work with a client in the Information Technology Solutions space. This position is eligible for conversion to a full-time position during the contract period.

About The Role


The IT Technician's role is to ensure system operation and functionality so that end users can accomplish business tasks. The objective of the IT Technician will be to respond to support requests in a timely manner, be the initial reference point for IT support related tickets, and to ensure ticket resolution and the satisfaction of the end user, among other technical duties.


IT Technicians are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments and customers daily. The IT Technician will possess an ability to resolve problems at a tier 1 level, demonstrate extraordinary customer service skills, and rely on escalation when applicable.


What Will You Be Doing?


  • Establishing and maintaining good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
  • Prioritize incidents and service requests according to defined processes to meet defined SLAs.
  • Troubleshooting, installation, and repair of network and phone cables.
  • Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in resolving support requests.
  • Installing and configuring hardware and software components throughout various network infrastructure devices.
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level when remote tools are not appropriate, including hardware repairs, delivery of peripherals, or other fixes as determined.
  • Install antivirus software and ensure virus definitions are up to date.
  • Provisioning and system setup for new hires.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
  • Provide support of incoming requests to the service desk via telephone, web portal, email to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user issues.


The Ideal Candidate Brings


  • Experience or knowledge of Service Desk Platforms for Ticketing
  • 0-2 years of Call Center/Contact Center/Help Desk/Support Center experience
  • Solid interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree a plus, (completed or pursuing) OR equivalent technical support experience
  • Entry-level understanding of Telecommunications, Data Networking, Infrastructure, Cloud, and SaaS Technologies
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced team environment within the technology sector
  • Polite, efficient and customer-oriented attitude is essential
  • Proficiency with IT/Technology troubleshooting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
