It Technician Jobs

The IT Technician for Professional Services is responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of customer’s systems, along with assisting the Project Manager with projects. This position will be responsible for installing and supporting all technology, to include workstations, printers, servers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software.

Requirements

• Implementation and support services for Microsoft related technologies, to include Windows Desktop, Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Azure, Office 365, etc
• IT support related to technical issues with Microsoft's core business applications
• Communicate with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notify them of impending changes or agreed outages
• Implement system solutions for customers using technologies that meet their needs
• Technical services and support at the network level, to include WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security appliances
• Implement and support remote access solutions, to include VPN, Remote Desktop Services, and Citrix
• Onsite Implementation and support services for desktops, laptops, printers, access points, switches, servers, etc
• Implement and support disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam

Additional Duties And Responsibilities

• Escalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
• Business awareness: specific knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals
• Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
• Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
• Work through project tickets and phases in ConnectWise as assigned by a Project Manager
• Responsible for entering time and expenses in ConnectWise as it occurs
• Develop in-depth knowledge of our services and how it relates to customer’s needs
• Travel to client sites daily as required

Knowledge, Skills, And/or Abilities Required (Qualifications)

• Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care
• Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details
• 1-2 years of experience in installing technology solutions
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
• 1-2 years of experience in an IT Support capacity
• Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft or CompTIA
• Diagnosis skills of technical issues
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and listen. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, and drive or ride in a motor vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Must have the ability to travel, sometimes with short notice and be able to provide after-hours support and weekend implementation as needed.
