We are seeking an Investment Management professional for Arch Companies’ Investment Team. The Investment professional will manage a portfolio of residential and commercial real estate assets in various stages of lease up and stabilized operations. This position will require an individual to work closely with multiple departments including, acquisitions, leasing, and asset management. The position will be based in our New York City offices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribute to presentations and reports for investment committee
• Establish and facilitate positive long-term relationships with commercial tenants
• Various other acquisitions and portfolio related tasks, as directed by management
• Site visits and market tours for potential acquisitions
• Support on-going monitoring, analysis and reporting of individual investments, as well as the aggregate portfolio
• Track and monitor execution of business plan
• Execute on new transactions, including underwriting, due diligence, and closing execution
• Underwrite new investments, including conducting market research, generating comps analysis and tracking due diligence for new acquisitions
• Support the creation and approval of annual budget and business plan for each investment
• Analyze debt options for existing property refinancing
• Create of offering memorandums to source capital for existing and new investments
• Create financial models using Excel to project cash flows, investment returns, generate asset valuations, analyze risk and evaluate various financial structures to analyze new acquisitions
• Develop and maintain relationships with local brokers, lenders, partners, etc.
• Support the onboarding of properties from acquisition and/or development to operations
• Provide analysis to recommend and execute on approved refinancing and dispositions

Experience, Skills and Abilities Required

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, real estate or other similar fields
• 3 - 5 years prior real estate underwriting and transaction experience, garden style multi-family a plus
• Ability to build and contribute to a team environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in modeling dynamic property cash flows, levered cash flows, and waterfalls in excel
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• MBA strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and deadline management skills
• Intelligent and practical approach to problem solving, comfortable with ambiguity, open-ended tasks, and an entrepreneurial atmosphere
• Strong familiarity with real estate legal documents (loan documents, commercial leases and joint ventures)
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to comfortably multi-task
• Self-starter, dedicated and professional demeanor capable of thriving in an intense, high-energy, transaction-driven environment

Please note: This is not a remote position

Salary range: $100 - $140k*

*Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's experience, skills, and qualifications. It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the range.
