Axogen is hiring for a Clinical Research BLA Intern in Tampa, FL!
Summary of the Clinical Research BLA Internship
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join Axogen's Clinical Research team. Knowledgeable mentors will provide guidance for a dynamic, professional, hands-on experience. This internship will provide a unique look into the clinical research operations of a leading biomedical technology company with high visibility within the organization. By participating in clinical science processes, and while executing a relevant project, the Clinical Research Intern will gain valuable insight into the clinical research processes which are used to bring novel biotechnologies to market.
Requirements of the Clinical Research BLA Internship
- Pass a drug screening
- Advanced PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Ability to work 20-29 hours per week; specific days/hours will be based on student's class load
- Ability to work cross-functionally with people from multiple departments within the organization
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program; preferably in a medical, life science, biomedical engineering, or health science discipline
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are a must
- Curiosity and a passion for clinical research are a must
- Strong written and oral communication skills are a must
Project Details
Support the creation of a pediatric study plan as part of the Avance Nerve Graft biologics license application (BLA). Under the direction of the program leader, this project will include:
- Collaboration with clinical research and regulatory professionals
- Focus on pediatric patients and outcomes
- Supporting the Clinical Evidence team in developing a novel pediatric study plan
- Clinical outcomes for patients after repair of peripheral nerve injuries
- Evaluation of data from the RANGER Registry
- Review clinical literature and levels of evidence of clinical research

Compensation
The anticipated base wage for this position is $18/hr for an undergrad student and $20/hr for a grad student.

Axogen is on a hybrid work schedule at some facilities, with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
