We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team! As a Human Resources Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping our organization maximize the strategic use of our human resources and maintain our functions. Your responsibilities will include advising managers and employees on employment regulations, benefit and compensation policies, personnel procedures, and classification programs. You will also evaluate job positions, prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales, and assist in maintaining personnel records and handbooks.
We're looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work independently and manage your time effectively. Knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices, benefit and pay-scale systems, and computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel is also important.
To be considered for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, and 0-2 years of customer service related experience. We're mostly remote, but you'll need to be located in the Memphis area and will occasionally need to go onsite. This is a 3-month assignment to start, but it may be extended, and there is currently no permanent position available.
The shift is 9am-6pm CST, but you may occasionally need to work 8am-5pm depending on how busy we are. Experience with Workday, Five9 phone system, or Zendesk ticketing system would be a plus if you have worked in the field of HR.
