Robert Half is working with a company that has an opportunity for a self-starter eager to grow with a firm while handling a variety of personnel related administrative tasks and providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. Offered on a short-term contract / temporary basis, this HR Assistant position is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the industry within the Modesto, California area.
What you get to do every single day

• Take part in new employee on-boarding orientation planning
• Research the internet to locate potential customers
• Oversee office and administrative tasks
• Update employee database logs

Requirements

• Deep understanding of performance management
• At least 2+ years of HR related experience desired
• Proven knowledge of HRIS
• Compliance experience highly desired
• Highly professional and able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Foundational knowledge in benefits administration
• Employee Relations Investigations experience preferred
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
• Solid understanding of employee relations
• Able to maintain an approachable and appropriate attitude when interacting with all levels of personnel in a rapidly changing environment
• Accomplished in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
