About the Job:

As an HR Consultant (1099 Independent Contractor) at Vibrant Humans HR Consulting, your role will be to provide specialized HR support to our diverse client base, consisting of small and mid-sized organizations across different industries. Your tasks will include assessing and identifying clients’ needs, developing and implementing strategies and policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and working closely with management to create and foster a positive work environment. This role requires an in-depth understanding of HR functions, the ability to create client-focused solutions, adaptability, experience managing projects and programs, and most importantly a commitment to professionalism. With assignments that vary in nature, duration, and hours of work, this opportunity offers a dynamic work environment tailored for those who seek flexibility and balance in work and life.


Note: Assignments are made based on client needs, so there is no guarantee of hours or a regular schedule.


Pay: Compensation is project-based, with an hourly rate ranging from $25 to $35, depending on the complexity and requirements of each individual project.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and improve HR policies and procedures to ensure they align with the organization's goals and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Facilitate change management strategies and support implementation.
  • Advise on best practices for diversity, inclusion, and equality in the workplace.
  • Train and mentor HR staff to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance and support on compensation and benefits structures.
  • Provide expert guidance and advice on HR matters such as talent acquisition, onboarding, training, development, performance management, employee relations, and retention strategies.
  • Deliver updates and presentations to management on HR strategy and initiatives.
  • Conduct audits of HR activities to ensure compliance and identify areas of improvement.
  • Support the development and execution of performance management processes.


Requirements:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with HRIS systems, Google Workplace, and other HR-related software
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Up-to-date knowledge of HR, Recruitment, & People Operations practices
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Must meet legal requirements to work as a 1099 contractor
  • Ability to adapt to varying project demands and schedules
  • Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in Human Resources (2 years in a senior or consultancy role preferred)


Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s degree and/or certifications like SHRM-SCP, SPHR preferred)
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business goals into human resource capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
