Position Overview: Human Resources Assistant
You will play a pivotal role in supporting our dynamic team. You'll find yourself in a role where you can truly make a difference. We're seeking an individual who enjoys working with people and embodies patience, tactfulness, diplomacy, and approachability. You'll thrive in our dynamic work environment, demonstrating the ability to remain composed in challenging situations while maintaining excellent verbal and written communication skills.
This is a fully remote position. Previous remote work experience is required.
Requirements
2-3 years of experience as an HR Assistant or progressive office management
1-2 years of previous remote work experience
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Proficiency in working with an HRIS
Availability to work across multiple time zones
Reliable high-speed internet access
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with California employment laws
Human Resource Certifications: aPHR, PHRca, PHR or SHRM-CP or higher
Prior experience in the restaurant industry
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish
Proficiency in MS Office, G-Suite, and video conferencing platforms
Key Responsibilities
Maintain complete and confidential employee files, ensuring accuracy in documentation related to staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and more.
Respond promptly and professionally to applicant inquiries through various channels.
Evaluate qualifications and eligibility of applicants by processing and reviewing employment applications.
Collaborate in managing workers’ compensation injury claims, including communication with properties and injured employees, accident information upkeep, and progress monitoring.
Address information requests from governmental agencies in a timely manner.
Accurately record and manage employee data, including addresses, earnings, absences, performance reports, status changes, and termination details.
Provide clear responses to inquiries about eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
Assist in Benefit Administration, including Open Enrollment and participant eligibility.
Actively participate in weekly meetings.
Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
