Job Description
Human Resources Assistant The Human Resources Assistant supports the Human Resources Department in day-to-day HR functions. The HR Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the HR Manager and HR staff. Responsibilities Maintains accurate and up-to-date files, records, and documentation in a confidential manner. Conducts the pre-employment process for all new hires, establishing a point of contact for employee questions. Assist in updating databases (e.g. new hires, separations, vacation, and sick leave) Perform New Employee Orientations, ensuring all documentation and training is complete for the new hire to start. Coordinate communication with new employees to schedule the first day of work and complete all new hire tasks. Assists in department's telephone center and address queries for the HR department. Produces and submits reports on general human resources tracking measures. Uses data to recommend alternative methods for success. Assist in payroll preparation by providing data like absences, bonus, and leaves. Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews. Keep employee files and information confidential. Assists with the ordering and restocking of office supplies as needed. Prepares and edits letters, reports, memos, spreadsheets, and emails. Other related work as requested or required. Requirements High school diploma or the equivalent is required. Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills, as well as compassion and caring, are required. Proficiency in MS Office is required with strong Excel skills. The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure is required. Strong attention to detail is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
