Position Summary
As a Human Capital Specialist- M&A advisor, you will provide excellent service and ensure the smooth functioning of transaction and transition projects. Success will come from your attention to detail, ability to see your engagements from a whole-systems perspective, excellent project management skills, and your expertise in mergers and acquisitions, human resources and its various disciplines, private equity and some level of knowledge about the industry each project takes place in. Great advisors are customer focused, diligent, super curious, adaptable, and possess above-average technical writing and communication skills.
Travel Requirements: As needed to meet service-level requirements and for required business meetings
Essential Duties & Approximate Commitment of Time
1.) Scheduling required calls and meetings; Performing all required project activities, seeking guidance and support as necessary, Escalates concerns to ensure that projects stay on-track, Tracking and advising on progress against established project milestones; Tracking and advising on progress against established project budgets (time, resources, materials, overall costs, etc.)
2. ) Ensures consistency of outputs against standards and in accordance with client(s) requirements. Project assignments may include, but are not limited to: due diligence, organization design, post- acquisition integration and harmonization, talent assessment, systems implementation, auditing, compensation plan development, benefits harmonization, succession planning, employee communication, etc.
3.) Presentation and report development using technologies such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SmartSheet, etc.
4.) Knowledge creation, gathering, recording: Updates and maintains technology systems, records, operating processes, procedures, and guidelines with feedback.
5.) Ensures project continuity in the event resources shift or are re-deployed during a project’s life-cycle
6.) Works with Project Director, advisors, consultants, clients, and other team members to evolve and continuously improve processes, practices, and services
7.) Other responsibilities as directed by manager
Position Requirements
- Education Required: Graduate degree or actively pursuing a graduate degree, preferably in Human Resources, Auditing, Labor and Employment Law, Business or IT. Or, equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructuring and/or succession planning very desirable
- Experience Required: 3+ years of service industry project management experience
Specialized or Technical Knowledge:
Licenses, Certifications Preferred: PMI certification a plus; Expertise in Google, MS Office, SmartSheet and knowledge of HRIS/HRMS and Payroll Systems
Functional Knowledge:
Some general Human Resources, Labor and Employment Law, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition/Recruiting, Entrepreneurship, Private Equity, Finance, Auditing are all a plus
Company/Industry Related Knowledge:
Internal/External Consulting highly desirable. Investment Banking, Private Equity, Financial Advisory or Auditing a plus.

Salary range $30-60/hr W2. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
