Your Primary Responsibilities Include:
The Help Desk Engineer provides hardware and software technical support including support of company-specific applications and processes for employees and customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Creating user accounts and performing access control
- Designing and implementing efficient end-user feedback and error reporting systems
- Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives
- Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems
- Supervising and mentoring IT department employees, as well as providing IT support
- Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration
- Perform special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required
- Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures
- Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar OR Associate’s degree and 2 years of experience in functional area
- Additional 2 years+ of progressive experience in functional area
Job Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, effective work relationships and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak confidently
- Superior organizational skills, problem solving, and attention to detail
- Adaptable and comfortable with changing priorities in a high volume environment
- Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies, specifically with Office 365, MS Windows, and Active Directory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Responsive and customer-focused with a demonstrated use of professional judgment
- An ability to thrive in an environment where priorities change daily, and where employees wear many hats, detailed-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Self-directed, yet effective working part of a collaborative sales team
- The ability to think "outside the box" and prioritize tasks and decisions in a timely manner
