Healthcare Procurement Analyst Jobs

Desirable:

• Experience in the Health Insurance industry.

• Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

• Knowledge of Ariba or similar procurement automation tools.

Important call notes(from Hiring Manager)

•Wants someone with federal procurement BG (significantly more regulated than commercial procurements). Just strong compliance BG where compliance is more important than value and saving money. Needs to be quick learner... Needs to understand FAR.

•Sometimes when they hire folks who have decades of exp they struggle with accepting the CF processes b/c they have seen more efficient processes in the past. But they need to be willing to work within the CF processes/guidelines... Prob should stay away from those very senior people. Looking for 3-5 year resource. Individual contributor roles. Needs to be hands on.

•Most important thing is being a quick learner but hard to figure out during a interview.

•Does not want contract mgmt exp. Wants strong procurement exp. Key words: Exp with RFQs/RFPs, pricing, negotiation, etc...

•Past exp working with Ariba would be ideal as well.

•This is not a Buyer role. Pretty complex strategic role.

•Does not need healthcare BG. But having the IT knowledge BG is very helpful.

•Should be comfortable with procurements from $250,000 to several million....

•Mostly software and hardware procurements. Will need to do some drafting and contracts, memos detailing the processes that were followed, etc... Ability to write clearly and comprehensively is extremely valuable.

•Will be dealing with 12 or so procurements at a time... lower than that ideally.

•Core: Purchasing IT software, licensing and equipment.
