About The Job


We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Vice President, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement to join our executive team. This leadership role will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will work closely with the Tailored Brands Executive team.


What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities


Specific Responsibilities Are


The VP of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement will be responsible for managing/supporting all indirect spend at Tailored Brands of approximately $800M/year. The person will be responsible for leading the procurement organization (~18-19 employees) and working closely with the Business and Functional leaders as well as external partners to drive maximum savings and value for the Enterprise.


  • Select, manage, coach and develop high performing team
  • Minimize cost and administration efforts through automation, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and participate in negotiations with vendors on price, delivery, terms, etc.
  • Maintain an awareness of latest buying techniques & theories, best practices, trends, legislative issues and market competitiveness and leverage these to benefit Tailored Brands
  • Enhance and Lead Company’s Supplier Diversity Initiatives
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to improve forecasting, planning, and execution of all sourcing efforts
  • Implement a new, comprehensive procure-to-pay solution that will replace existing systems and bring all categories under a systematic solution
  • Monitor activities against department objectives and submit performance reports to management
  • Implement procurement best practices for all services and commodities
  • Ensure compliance with policies and programs in alignment with sourcing strategy
  • Deliver procurement strategy for all indirect supplier spend categories at Tailored Brands
  • Lead and manage the procurement teams on appropriate contract management, vendor performance management approaches and contract awarding processes
  • Develop and deliver presentations to executives and others, as required on strategies, programs, practices and issues
  • Develop department budgets and drive the analysis of and review data, including budget/financial and performance metrics to support decisions related to programs, initiatives, and directives
  • Ensure the effective delivery of initiatives, programs and directives in accordance with sourcing strategy and financial business plans
  • Design and implement key supplier management and score carding programs, including regular feedback and recognition
  • Design and lead department’s transformative efforts to become a “Best-In-Class” strategic sourcing model that will deliver maximum value to the enterprise through year-over-year savings, improved purchasing terms, and supplier performance
  • Design and align procurement processes and policies with business processes
  • Ensure appropriate oversight controls and audit trails are embedded in procurement processes, for internal audit and performance management purposes
  • Interact cross-functionally with all other departments and serve as an effective and value-added service for the entire organization


Skills & Experience


  • Persuasive, positive, collaborative and team-oriented
  • 15+ years of procurement experience in a multi-site environment, with a minimum of 3 years of experience managing a procurement department
  • Good knowledge of legal environment related to purchasing contracts and framework agreements
  • Experience with high-value; high-volume purchasing and contract negotiation experience across a range of services and commodities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated ability to select, manage, develop and coach others toward achieving their personal best
  • Relationship builder who can develop strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

$195,000-$250,000 This salary range is specific to Colorado, New York, California, and Washington, and may differ in other locations. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.


Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands


  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from a remote office location.
