About the Role:

Anglepoint is seeking a highly qualified individual to join our global team as a VP of Sourcing & Procurement Services Western United States. In this pivotal leadership role, you will play a critical part in expanding our services and driving the success of our clients' IT procurement and software asset management initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to provide strategic guidance and ensure that our clients secure the best deals on IT purchases and renewal, primarily focusing on software. You will lead a team of professionals to deliver transaction-level price benchmark analysis, license and subscription optimization advice, vendor-specific negotiation intelligence, and negotiation strategy services.

What will be expected of a VP of Procurement & Sourcing?

• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and licensing models for software assets.
• Effectively communicate the Services strategy, goals, objectives and results to customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their IT procurement needs and provide strategic guidance on optimizing software asset management.
• Drive upsells and cross-sell opportunities by identifying and effectively communicating the benefits of additional services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring the successful delivery of services and driving customer adoption of Anglepoint's products and solutions.
• Lead contract negotiations with vendors to ensure favorable terms and conditions for IT purchases and renewals.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies for clients.
• Build and lead an IT sourcing team, setting strategic direction, and driving excellence in execution.
• Collaborate closely with consulting delivery team counterparts, participating in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and forecast meetings to achieve targeted results.

Who you are:

• Strong background in building and leading teams.
• In-depth knowledge of software asset management (SAM) and IT asset management (ITAM) practices and methodologies.
• Willing to travel to territory (eastern/western US) and internationally as needed (expected to be less than 25%)
• Strong analytical, research, organizational, issue identification, prioritization, resolution, and report writing skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus in vendor negotiations.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent
• Proventrack record of successfully managing complex IT procurement projects, including large-scale software licensing agreements.
• Extensive experience defining and executing growth strategies in a business environment, delivering outstanding results and driving revenue growth.
• Familiarity with leading software publishers, licensing models, and software asset management tools.
• 10+ years of experience in SAM/ITAM, contract negotiation and/or IT sourcing.
• Must be fully vaccinated from COVID. Note: Medical or religious exemption may be considered.
