Guidepoint's Qsight group is a new high-growth division of Guidepoint focused on building market-leading data intelligence solutions for the healthcare industry. The Qsight team is passionate about creating market intelligence products through rigorous analysis of alternative data to deliver highly relevant, accurate insights to a global client base.
The Healthcare Data Product Analyst is a key role on the Qsight team and will help with the production and development of Guidepoint's Qsight offerings. This role is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to gain experience working with alternative data. A strong candidate will be responsible for supporting clients who include analysts and executives at medical device companies.
This position can be remote in the United States or based in New York, New York. Ideal candidates MUST be comfortable working EST hours.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct quantitative analysis and modeling projects in addition to developing new models, analytic processes, and systems approaches
- Utilize a diverse array of technologies and tools as needed to deliver insights, such as Excel, Python, and SQL
- Work with quantitative and qualitative data to derive differentiated market insights
- Support development of analytics offerings through combining various sources of healthcare industry data (claims, sales/purchasing, etc.)
- Research various sector and company controversies to help qualitatively inform and interpret models
- Analyze and understand the disparate sources of healthcare industry data
- Research and stay on top of all publicly available information about relevant markets and companies, including news, earnings releases, and FDA filings
What You Have:
- Must have a passion for solving complex big data problems
- Must have a passion for solving complex big data problems and a willingness to learn new technologies and tools
- Ability to work efficiently with team members to assess needs, provide support, and think critically
- Strong verbal/written communication skills to non-technical audiences
- Analytical mindset with technical skills to match
- 1+ years of experience working with large panel data, with a focus in the MedTech or healthcare space a plus
- Strong focus on quality and on addressing client needs
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a preference for majors in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Finance, or related field
- Excellent problem solver capable of working independently
- Familiarity or strong interest in the healthcare sector
What We Offer:
The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. Base salary may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
