A day in the life

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for developing analytic solutions to complex problems. This role creates powerful analytics to enable thoughtful and impactful decision making across the organization.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborates with internal team members to create reports, models and/or dashboards.
  • Communicates the findings, patterns, and insights to stakeholders and provides data-driven forecasts and solutions.
  • Identifies and builds analytics solutions which inform business operations, programs, and/or initiatives and delivers value for them.
  • Uses modern tools to create and maintain data models for forecasting and prediction.
  • Researches, hypothesizes, and develops analytical approaches for identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in large data sets.
  • Ensures data integrity and compliance by performing data audit and/or data validation.
  • Aggregates and performs statistical analyses on healthcare data.
  • Leverages analytic platforms for statistical/data analysis projects and reporting.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Collects, processes, and cleans large and complex data sets from various sources.
  • Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders on reporting questions and concerns.
  • Coaches and mentor’s department staff and collaborates with leadership to support strategic goals within the team.
  • Draws on tools and methods from statistics and machine learning to perform analysis, leverage predictive models, visualize data, and drive projects through to delivery of the intended outcome.
  • Works directly with internal and external stakeholders to understand their questions, processes, programs and/or initiatives.

What you need to succeed

  • 5 years of data analytics, statistics, comprehensive knowledge in SQL, R, Python, or other scripting languages, experience building models and applying them to business cases, creating data analytics and visualizations to enable self-service analytics or related experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Informatics, Analytics, Public Health, or related.
  • SSRS experience is a plus!
  • Experience with healthcare data is strongly preferred and will allow this individual to be successful in the role.
  • Advanced ability to think analytically and problem solve unique situations.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in order to take lead and partner well with others.
  • Advanced knowledge in data analytics.
