Our Head of Strategy will be responsible for developing and executing the organization's strategic plans, and creating and leading the Project Management Office (PMO). This includes conducting market research and analysis, identifying business opportunities, developing business plans, overseeing the implementation of strategic initiatives, and managing the PMO. Our Head of Strategy and PMO will be expected to work closely with the CEO and the senior leadership teamto ensure that the organization's strategic objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the CEO and other stakeholders to ensure that strategic initiatives are aligned with organizational goals and objectives
• Lead a team of project managers and scrum masters
• Build and lead a high-performing strategy team, including hiring, coaching, and developing team members
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, funders, and industry partners
• Develop and manage project management tools, templates, and resources to support project teams
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the strategy team and across the organization
• Oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives, including tracking progress, managing risks, and communicating updates to stakeholders
• Monitor industry trends and developments, and recommend strategic adjustments as necessary
• Ensure that project risks and issues are identified, assessed, and managed effectively
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify business opportunities and competitive threats
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project sponsors, project team members, and external vendors
• Establish project management policies, procedures, standards, and methodologies to be used across the organization

Skills

• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing circumstances
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, or related field
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Demonstrated passion for social impact and mission-driven work
• Tech-savvy user, and understanding of how to use project management tools (ClickUp), Telegram, and Google Drive
• Proactive in your approach, creative, and focused on delivery/teamwork
• Experiencein a startup or non-profit organization is a huge plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and work effectively under pressure
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a startup or non-profit organization
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex business problems and develop innovative solutions
• At least 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in a PMO leadership role.
• Knowledge of the non-profit technology sector and industry trends
• At least 5 years of experience in strategy development and execution, preferably in a senior management role at an early-stage non-profit technology startup
