About The Job


  • Chanel is looking for a Head of People Development and Diversity and Inclusion. This individual will play a leading role in development to support change and agility while looking ahead at the talent implications of a changing business environment and marketplace. They will continue building an inclusive environment where talents feel they have a voice, where their well-being is valued and where leaders are empowered to engage and inspire employees to accomplish brand business and culture goals while being at their best.
  • Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience and a master’s degree in OD, Organizational Behavior/Psychology, Leadership and Change, Adult Education, or a related field a plus


What impact you can create at CHANEL:


  • Works with broader HR team to allocate resources. Manage budgets and resources, reporting, measurement, and maintenance of training metrics
  • Actively participates in the global Talent and Learning & Development global community and the D&I Community, participates in global meetings and Global projects in order to support people and organizational global priorities
  • Leverages knowledge of adult learning methodologies to facilitate engaging and memorable learning programs and initiatives which build capability
  • Provide change management expertise and education in support of organizational change initiatives
  • Develops and implements leadership and management development programs, leveraging global content and resources, to support leadership connections, leadership capability building, and to build leadership pipeline
  • Designs and develops programs and learning interventions, leveraging internal, global, and external resources, using creative methodologies such as blended learning to inspire, change mindset, and build capability.
  • Develop business cases for discussion with senior management to engage and align on leadership and talent development priorities.
  • Support HR Business Partners in Developing high performing teams through team coaching and facilitation. Oversee, and actively engage when needed, in process improvement facilitation
  • Networks with external companies and vendors to stay abreast of content and emerging learning technologies and solutions. Continuously innovates and experiments in the rapidly changing fields of adult learning science and technology, to keep pushing the effectiveness of our learning interventions
  • Develop learning solutions which take organizational systems into account, such as structure, process, skills, and teams.
  • Conducts strategic needs assessments, analyzes data, synthesizing themes and trends, and summarizing and presenting data in formats appropriate for a senior audience.
  • Ensures a high degree of execution consistency; knowledge retention and effectiveness measured and tracked through carefully designed metrics. Assess, track and analyze the impact of interventions.
  • Develop associated tools, resources, and training to build change capability in the organization. Coach HRBPs and leaders around the skills needed to lead and sustain change
  • Facilitates learning programs in a credible and engaging manner appropriate to the audience and the subject matter
  • Manages external vendor relationships with Executive Coaches and Consultants on behalf of internal business partners and HR Generalists
  • Participates in the global People community to lead regional implementation and evolution of the Performance management process
  • Prioritize against business strategies and ensure clear Learning and Development and Diversity and Inclusion Roadmaps for the US with cross functional and geographic development opportunities
  • Leadership of direct report team of three and an extended resource network
  • Uses strong project management/leadership to drive initiatives from conception to evaluation.
  • Design development with a learner centric approach, leveraging global content
  • Evaluate the impact of current change methodology and implementation efforts, and use this data to further develop and refine strategy and tactics
  • Partners with the businesses and HR Business Partners, cross Divisionally, to conduct capability building and learning and leadership development needs assessments, planning for short- and long-term needs

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $250-$300K. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components [may/will] include additional compensation, benefits, and perks.
