The Role


The ED+I coordinator provides resources and support for the implementation of the organization’s initiatives to support a workplace where employees feel they are respected, valued, treated fairly, and can show up as their authentic selves. Additional responsibilities include support for other Human Resources initiatives, particularly related to portions of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and reporting.


The core purpose of the ED+I coordinator is to assist in the integration of equity, diversity, and inclusion values into the everyday behaviors of the organization and its employees, resulting in a firm that is as diverse as the communities we serve.


Responsibilities


  • Respond to requests for information and quotations on diversity metrics for clients
  • Maintain and share with ED+I Committee knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices
  • Complete ED+I compliance reports such as Human Rights Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action Plan, VETS 100
  • Support recruitment diversity goals by partnering with Talent Acquisition
  • Promote recognition of ED+I initiatives inside and outside the firm
  • Serve as a liaison with the firm’s ED+I consultant
  • Support corporate responsibility/ESG initiatives and reporting requirements
  • Provide ED+I related updates and presentations for quarterly firm board meetings and annual meetings
  • Provide guidance and support for Employee Network Groups
  • Collect and analyze statistical data to evaluate and report the firm’s diversity goals for leadership and other stakeholders
  • Update the content on firm’s ED+I internal website
  • Facilitate ED+I Committee monthly meetings – scheduling, meeting minutes, and tracking action items
  • Serve as a liaison with the firm’s ED+I Advocates/Executive Committee
  • Recommend and implement programs to foster the organization’s ED+I goals, in collaboration with the ED+I Committee and with the Director of Learning and Organizational Development
  • Serve as a liaison with outside ED+I groups such as the Society of Black Engineers, IEEE Women in Engineering, and Build Out Alliance


Requirements


  • Data management, and analysis
  • Several years of Human Resources or related experience with direct experience managing ED+I initiatives
  • Microsoft productivity applications
  • Adaptability
  • Emotional intelligence – self-management, relationship management, empathy, and influence
  • Communication – verbal and written
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Ideally, experience using Workday
  • Knowledge of a business intelligence tool such as Power BI


Compensation


The rate for this position generally is $80,000 - $110,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
