The objective of the Talent & Diversity (T&D) Advisor focused on disability inclusion is to serve as a strategic professional who provides expertise, guidance, oversight, and support for Citi’s Inclusion Network and the respective Diversity Steering Committee groups globally. In partnership with the Citi Employee Resource Groups Lead and the diversity steering committee, the T&D Advisor will be a prominent voice in shaping the narrative around positioning Citi as an employer of choice, serving as a subject matter expert in the design and deployment of diversity- focused initiatives across the firm for disability inclusion. In addition, the incumbent will provide support and guidance in measuring the effectiveness of diversity-focused programs and initiatives both within and external to the firm, influencing without direct authority and managing to multiple stakeholders.
This role will be tasked with closely following the latest trends as it pertains to diversity in the workplace and adapting insights from the analysis of those trends to take a consultative approach in informing and developing global diversity strategy.
Responsibilities
- Work with senior leaders and HR teams to create an execute strategies that promote disability inclusion and diversity in the workplace. This could involve establishing goals, metrics, and initiatives to drive progress
- Define and develop the strategy around diversity-focused initiatives centered on supporting accessibility, accommodations, and disability inclusion across the firm
- Understand the business, market /country and HR needs and priorities and translates these insights into an executable talent management/ Diversity and Inclusion /human capital/ client engagement disability inclusion focused strategy globally
- Stay abreast of relevant legislation, regulations, and accessibility standards to ensure the organization's practices are compliant. This might involve consulting on audits, providing guidance on accessible technology and facilities, and advocating for reasonable accommodations.
- Contribute to the development and review of policies and processes that ensure equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities. This may include recruitment and hiring practices, accommodation policies, employee development, and performance management
- Lead our efforts to fully leverage our internal and external partnerships in conjunction with our global diversity strategy and disability inclusion initiatives
- Serve as key point of contact for executive leaders – educate, engage, and coach as subject matter expert on disability inclusion, diversity human capital and commercial initiatives
- Leverage data to provide insights for the business on identifying future roles/resources, initiatives, succession, and development requirements
- Collect and analyze data related to disability inclusion efforts, tracking progress, and identifying areas for improvement. Regular reporting to management and leadership teams would be important to demonstrate the impact of the organization's disability inclusion initiatives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as the inclusion network (employee resource groups), diversity steering committees, and external community organizations to foster partnerships and drive collective efforts in creating an inclusive workplace
- Participates in ongoing external and internal communication across the global business to engage all global employees in initiatives, processes and updates regarding disability diversity and inclusion initiatives. Champion disability inclusion, raise awareness, drive change, and ensure equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities in the workplace.
- In partnership with the business, SHROs, HRAs, Recruitment, L&D and other key partners, identifies, assesses, coaches, and develops a diverse talent pool for the firm
- Drives global diversity communications strategy
- Leads consult to Business and HR on thought leadership for Talent, Succession, Diversity, Performance Management, change management and organizational development through a disability inclusion lens
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading and driving large-scale initiatives in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), talent management, organizational development, and/or learning and development
- A self-starter comfortable with navigating ambiguity using a wide latitude for independent thinking and judgement
- Strong and effective collaboration skills across multi-cultural and multi-level teams
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both the written and spoken word
- High sense of urgency and ability to drive initiatives to completion with minimal supervision
- Strong project management skills with a solid understanding of how to delegate tasks and influence top down and bottom up without direct authority
- 5+ years with focus on disability diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Highly proficient with The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA)

- Bachelor’s University degree; Master’s degree preferred
