Calibrate has been retained by an Am Law 100 firm with more than 1,000 attorneys in 21 offices throughout Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the U.S., to recruit for a Director of Diversity & Inclusion to join in their New York, NY or Washington, DC office. Reporting to the Chief Talent Officer, the Director will develop and implement strategic initiatives supporting the firm's D&I plans, including leading and supporting the firm’s affinity groups, implementation of D&I-focused programming, and promoting the firm’s brand both internally and externally as a diverse and inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- In partnership with the Business Development and Communications teams, developing and delivering internal and external communications about D&I;
- Managing and providing direction to the Diversity & Inclusion team; and
- Collaborating with the Talent Development and Talent Acquisition teams to deliver a strategic approach to diversity recruiting and retention.
- Aligning the Firm’s diversity and inclusion strategy and resources with the Firm’s business and growth objectives;
- Providing guidance on best practices and trends in support of the firm's diversity and inclusion initiatives, projects, and strategic goals for lawyers and business professionals;
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree is preferred. Candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of diversity and inclusion experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services organization. We will be seeking candidates who have demonstrated success in developing cutting edge strategies and driving process improvements with regard to D&I issues in the workplace. The Director will be a leader with executive presence who can inspire confidence and earn trust quickly. Employees will be provided with an excellent career opportunity in a collaborative environment, in addition to a generous total compensation package with the opportunity to earn bonuses based on individual contribution and firm profitability. The salary range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $350,00 and a $450,000 annually. The actual base salary may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
