Our Global Account team works with leading multinational partners to deliver innovative technology solutions and serve to advocate and educate the market to help accelerate the overall growth of TikTok Global Business Solutions.
We are looking for a consultative team lead to join our Global Account Team. The team plays a critical role in establishing and leading strategic partnerships between TikTok and key global brands. This team is consultative in nature and will lead the long-term growth of each global account. The Head of Global Accounts (US) will own and nurture C-level and senior business client-side relationships and partner with TikTok's regional and local market General Managers to drive platform growth.
Our Head of Amazon will act as the strategic ambassador responsible for building TikTok's reputation and revenue for the world's biggest brands. The Head of Amazon will anticipate the business needs of the largest multinational companies, and deliver measurable solutions for our clients. They will steward industry level thought leadership, work cross-functionally and collaboratively with local Account teams and drive organizational KPIs while being passionate about inspiring creativity and joy among our brand partners around the world.
The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about cross-functional account development, proficient in high level strategic thinking and local market enablement. This role requires the ability to work across different time zones and cultures, and bring a philosophy of client-centricity to the role both internally and externally. The successful candidate is a builder, intellectually curious, creative, entrepreneurial, resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, strong in strategic thinking and has deep experience leading through influence.
Key responsibilities:
  • Regularly consult with local/regional sales leadership to enhance brand and product level positioning and engagement in their markets.
  • Develop and maintain C-level relationships to expand TikTok's presence, and educate and inform on the power of TikTok's platform.
  • Represent TikTok at key client and industry events, as a delegate and/or speaker.
  • Work collaboratively with the partner Global Agency Team lead to help drive 360 planning.
  • Build and shape the vision, global strategy, approach, local coordination, engagement planning and success metrics for TikTok's top global brands.
  • Build 'ground up' comprehensive business plans, global in nature and local in execution, that will drive top line revenue growth.
  • Communicate global account go-to-market strategies with internal stakeholders (regional GMs & local sales leads) while driving local and regional consideration, adoption and consistency.
  • Takes responsibility for, and is very good at, developing and growing professional staff in line with corporate culture and values, actively contributes to building and sharing the organization’s values and leads by example.
  • Work with regional sales leadership to establish/set strategic objectives and goals that maximize business impact.
  • Utilize experience to generate thought leadership and content associated with specific global brand needs, to drive repeat business and help increase existing direct revenue from our top global accounts.
  • Partner with the internal Global Agency team and their key decision makers in order to drive collaboration and synergistic advancement across the broader Global Agency & Accounts team.
  • Sustain close communication and alignment with clients and local sales counterparts to maximize client strategies and engender trust and collaboration.
  • Lead analysis and problem solving, lead a team in multiple, simultaneous client and stakeholder engagements, and develop client buy-in to generate and/or maintain strategic global partnerships.
  • Sell in a team environment, lead and assist in the development of generating incremental revenue via strategic partnerships.
Qualifications
  • Truly global experience operating at global networks or with global brands in previous roles and have deep understanding of cultural nuances by countries, cultures, and languages
  • Effectively and confidently balance the dual expectations and business goals of TikTok and our global accounts, as well as the expectations of multiple clients and local sales teams
  • Strategic with strong analytical skills; experienced using quantitative and qualitative data, and can storytell to bring action to analytics
  • Extensive strategy development and consultative skills among sophisticated multinational organization's leadership
  • You are a thought leader in the marketing and media landscape and stay attuned to market intelligence to strategically plan our offering, address brand challenges and optimize our business to changing market dynamics
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in agency, have run a global business for a platform/publisher, or have a media sales and/or consulting background with strengths in strategy and negotiation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will be showcased while working with internal and external leadership
  • Experienced in building commercial and growth strategies to drive hyper-growth at a brand, agency or platform
  • Expert level global account management experience managing global marketing agendas across multiple markets and cultures
  • Proven track record of growing large scale (20+ plus) high-performing teams

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $150000 - $325000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
