As our Game Night Assistant, you will support our Group Experience team with the setup and execution of in-arena game operations elements enhancing the fan experience. You will focus on creating extraordinary moments while ensuring our fans enjoy a seamless game experience.
DAY-TO-DAY:
- Assisting Group Experience Managers and Game Operations Director with preparation and execution of game operations elements (in-arena promotions, contests, entertainment, etc.) including but not limited to the following activities:
- Facilitating in-game activities for half-time and pre-game groups.
- Providing excellent customer service to our fans, sponsors, entertainers, other arena staff, etc.
- Facilitating on-court fan experiences before, during, and after games.
- Escorting groups from loading dock to event areas.
- Acting as point person for clients during games.
- Providing excellent customer service to our fans, sponsors, entertainers, other arena staff, etc.
- Directing performers around the arena and commons when scheduled.
- Retrieving entertainment equipment from storage, setting up in event area, and returning to storage.
- Wearing an issued uniform shirt and court-appropriate sneakers at every game.
- Maintaining your safety with shifts containing 80% Standing/Walking; 20% Stair Climbing
- Reporting to all games approximately 2-3 hours prior to tip-off (arrival time determined by manager). And being available for any post-game facilitation needs for up to one hour after each home game.
- Working Season Ticket Holder and Group Sales events on non-game days when needed.
- Lifting and carrying heavy items while running, extending, bending, and kneeling – both individually and with the team.
- Working safely at heights.
- Frequently climbing stairs, moving heavy equipment and materials.
WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:
- You can work all Trail Blazers home games, with few exceptions.
- You demonstrate creative problem solving and decision-making skills.
- You are confident working in front of a large audience and at times being a focal point.
- You love working in a dynamic, sometimes stressful, & complex working environment.
- You consider yourself to be outgoing and friendly to everyone.
- You have at least 1 season or 1-year experience working in a game or event atmosphere.
- You are comfortable interacting with fans in a professional manner and maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- You can focus on tasks, without being easily distracted by game action, players, coaches, broadcast personnel, and other performance team members, fans, etc.
- You can work special events for our Season Ticket Holders and Groups.
- You possess outstanding communication and customer service skills.
