MolQ Entertainment is a global multi-media, technology and distribution company launching two global streaming platforms--MolQ Films, featuring independent films, documentaries and original content and vMVPD MolQ TV, featuring global news, sports, e-sports, music and lifestyle TV networks.MolQ Films will launch in the EU and U.K. Ireland, in 3Q in the U.S. during 4Q 2023.MolQ TV will launch in the U.S. in 2Q 2024 and in Canada in 3Q 2024.The company is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, our NYC Metro office is in Stamford, CT,with our international headquarters located in The Hague, Netherlands.


Position Summary:

The Head of Global Distribution will develop and execute strategies for the distribution of MolQ Films and MolQ TV across global OTT cable, Telco, mobile, smart TVs and other streaming platforms. The candidate will be responsible for negotiations with streaming media partners,global Telcos, MVPDs, SVOD and AVOD distributors, and device manufacturers (including smart TV, mobile and computer manufacturers)s and wireless carriers for the distribution of MolQ Films and MolQ TV SVOD/AVOD streaming services.


The candidate will be responsible for reaching both global distribution goals and annual revenue annual goals and targets. He or she will manage relationships with existing clients and develop and establish relationships with new strategic partners. The candidate will demonstrate expertise on securing domestic and global distribution deals while representing MolQ Films’ and MolQ TV’s distribution strategy externally and internally.This role will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.


This is an opportunity to take on a key role in a fast growing and pre-IPO company that involves closely working with MolQ's senior management teams, department heads and other stakeholders as MolQ Entertainment’s streaming services MolQ Films and MolQ TV disrupt the $500BN global streaming media industry.


Responsibilities:

1. Negotiate content distribution deals with global interactive TV, mobile, Telcos, SVOD and, AVOD distributors, MVPDs and other streaming platform partners.

2. Oversee partner management for all domestic and international distributors.

3. Responsible for growing growing subscriber base and distribution revenue through existing partnerships and new business development.

4. Develop and implement strategies to increase subscriber distribution of MolQ Films and MolQ TV’s streaming platforms.

5. Work closely with the company’s senior management team including our General Counsel, Head of MolQ Films Studios, Head of MolQ TV, and the company’s CFO on new and renewal existing distribution agreements.

6. Maintain strong relationships with all streaming media distributors and strategic technology partners by maintaining a deep understanding of their business in order to maximize revenues.

7. Serve as a key representative for various internal groups, by providing marketplace updates, global distribution updates, and serve serving as a source of strategic guidance.

8. Communicate current marketplace information on industry trends for competitive products including: business models, deal terms and strategic partnerships and marketing.

9. Manage a Director of International Distribution based in our international headquarter in the Hague, Netherlands.

10. Work on special projects and presentations for senior executive management and BOD.

Requirements:

* This person must have the savvy knowledge, drive, energy and commitment to drive subscriptions and revenues.

* This person must be a strategic thinker, extremely organized and disciplined while also maintaining the ability to be a tactical executor under tight time constraints.

* Must have an understanding of affiliate and/or streaming media agreements and experience with substantive deal negotiations.

* Must be extremely competent in all aspects of the streaming media ecosystem.

* Candidate needs to have excellent sales, communication and presentation skills.

* Candidate should have a proven track record of relationship management and year over year revenue growth with existing partners.

* Must have impeccable communication skills and be a strong team player.

* Willing to travel 40%-50% of the time.

* 10+ years experience in a fast-paced media-related business required.

* Undergraduate degree required and MBA / JD preferred.

* Must have the legal right to work in the United States and valid passport.
