FRONT DESK SUPERVISOR


Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the front-end associates ensuring our clients receive superior customer service. Additionally, the Front Desk Supervisor may assist with the daily care of guests including, but not limited to: feeding, cleaning, exercising, and bathing.


Essential Functions Of The Front Desk Supervisor Include


  • Utilize the applicable software systems
  • Answer all incoming phone calls.
  • Emptying trash cans, mopping floors, cleaning of rest rooms, common areas, and employee break room.
  • Assist Manager and Assistant Managers with required reporting tasks
  • Assist Resort Manager in training employees, assign/direct work, reward/coaching employees, and conduct employee performance appraisals.
  • Provide updates to customers requesting information about their pet.
  • Responsible for assisting new & existing team members in completing their required LMS courses and training guide
  • Perform duties as required by Resort Manager to maintain operation of the resort.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the lobby during operating hours.
  • Report and document (when applicable) to the Resort Manager and/or Resort Assistant Manager any potential hazards or behavioral problems involving guests or employees.
  • Follow the check-in/departure procedures for all guests visiting the resort for any service provided by the resort.
  • Provide direct supervision of the Front Desk Associates including supervising, training and coaching Associates based on company standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Make and confirm reservations as a back-up to central reservations

Education/Experience


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages.


Reasoning Ability

Computer Skills


A general understanding of Microsoft Office and Windows is preferred, but not required.

Supervisory Responsibilities


Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Resort Associates. Directly supervises 8-20 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
