As a front desk supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring we provide the highest level of guest service and that our standards are met and always maintained.
As the Front Desk Supervisor, you will:
- Train all new Front Desk personnel
- Issues room keys
- Greets, registers, assigns rooms to guests, and inputs information into the property management system
- Balance all cash, credit card, and other postings to the daily report at end of the shift.
- Other duties as assigned
- Turns on or restricts guest phones as needed
- Schedules and directs Front Office team members as needed
- Makes and confirms reservations
- Posts charges including rent, phone, and miscellaneous fees to guest folios.
- Serves as Manager of Duty in the absence of the General and Front Office Manager. Supervises Front Desk, Night Auditors, and Guest Services Agents
- Computes bills, collect payments and makes change for guests.
- Explain room charges to guest and accepts payment by cash, check or credit card.
- Checks guests out of property management and phone system.
- Able to listen and find solutions to guests’ problems
- Remains aware of room occupancy and availability
- Coordinate with housekeeping when VIP Guests arrive
- Collects and posts security deposit as each guest checks in.
- Makes cash deposit in safe
- Answers all phone calls to the front desk and operator, and transfers calls as needed.
- Handle and count cash and process credit card payments and credits.
- Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, shuttle, and travel directions
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises Front Desk and Guest Services team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
To perform this job successfully, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write and speak English conversationally. Additionally, the person must possess and adhere to the following core values:

Requirements:
- Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States

- Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner
- Excellent customer service skills
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be to lift up to 15lbs
