Do you love animals? Not just own a dog or a cat or another furry friend, but really accept them as part of the family?
Do you not have any pets of your own right now but volunteer with them just to get your cuddle fix? Do you talk to your animals and wish they could talk back? If you said yes to any of these, then D is for Doggy might be the job for you!
We are looking for people who care deeply and above all else about the safety and happiness of the animals in their care, who can speak (and write) to both animals and people with patience and compassion, and who can handle periodic walking throughout the day in all weather.
Our employees are professional, friendly, and earnest. While we spend almost all of our time with our furry friends, we also form relationships with their two-legged parents. Like us, our clients have made their pets their family members, and they have entrusted us with these pups’ well-being. Clients must be able to trust and believe in our employees so that they rest easy each moment their furry children are in our care.
Our front desk staffers play an important role in our business, while enjoying a significantly more fun experience than your typical office receptionist role. Prior front desk experience is strongly preferred. A portion of the job will be handling dogs, and sometimes covering breaks with potential shifts in the room to get to better know our dogs. We want someone that not only is comfortable handling dogs, but doesn’t mind getting down and dirty to keep our place clean and sanitary.
The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills (both on the phone and in person), feel comfortable corresponding with clients, and overseeing day-to-day operations. Typical tasks are to:
- Run invoices and other ad hoc reports
- Send various daily updates for: boarding/temperament test/incidents/unusual dog ailments
- Manage online reservation requests
- Check dogs in and out of the facility
- Collect all special care instructions, including feeding, medication, or grooming instructions from owners
- Oversee general store operation and additional dog care (walks, feeding, medication, etc.)
- Review and reply to company emails and inquiries
If this sounds like you and you’d like to be considered for the position, please send a brief email about your professional experience +/ personal history with dogs along with a resume to [email protected]
