Job Description
The Oaks at Menorah Park of CNY is hiring a Part Time Front Desk Receptionist.
The hours are: WEDNESDAY 12 pm - 9 am & THURSDAY 10:30 pm - 9:00 am

Through our continuum of care, we offer a broad range of high-quality, affordable health, housing, and community services and programs, providing a more comprehensive, cohesive, and holistic approach to healthy aging.
Our 36-acre campus is home to our independent senior living, assisted living, skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation facilities. Menorah Park’s Homecare, adult day medical program, and Syracuse Jewish Family Service, enable us to extend our reach into the community where we support older adults and their families through the aging journey
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The primary responsibility of the Receptionist is to provide the highest quality of service to the residents at all times.
The Receptionist is responsible for answering and transferring all incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner, giving information, direction and other appropriate assistance to residents, staff, guests, and performing a variety of other clerical duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
  • Pleasant outgoing personality.
  • Respect confidentiality.
  • Maintain a network of good working relations ships with all departments on joint projects and/or concerns.
  • Demonstrate both written and oral communication skills consistent with the requirements of the position
  • Understanding of people and sensitivity to their needs for well-being; through communication, tolerance and compassion.
  • Proficiency in basic office and telephone skills.
Job Knowledge
  • Requires close attention to detail, with close mental and visual attention
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations in an expedient manner
  • Knowledge of facility policies and procedures, objectives, goals programs.
  • Must know operation of office equipment
  • Respond to routine telephone requests which have standard answers. Communicate requests to the appropriate parties, promptly and clearly.
  • Ability to use a telephone system, to receive and transfer calls.
Building Security
  • With the exception of hourly rounds, be available at the front desk at all times.
  • Report any issues on the FYI board.
  • All doors need to be checked and locked.
  • Maintain security of the Oaks at all times.
  • Do hourly rounds of building.
