Front Desk/Patient Coordinator needed for a busy, highly organized multi-disciplinary office. We are a multi disciplinary office that offers Physical Therapy, Chiropractic care & Acupuncture. We are looking for a candidate that is outgoing, mature, dynamic, professional, and flexible in multi-tasking. The candidate must be a team player and have basic computer skills with a mild to strong understanding of google sheets and excel. At Maxwell Medical all positions are valued. There is special attention to our Patient Coordinator, Front Desk team as they have the faces and voice that represents the company.
Essential Duties
Register patients in scheduling software, confirming accuracy.
Schedule appointments; gather pertinent information needed to complete appointments.
Prepare charts for the next day appointments. Confirm insurance status, eligibility and referrals when needed. Confirms insurance authorizations
Answer multi-line phones.
Check in and out patients, collect co-pays at time of service.
Schedules patient examination making sure all required information is available.
Give instructions to patients when required for scheduled procedures
File transcription in charts.
Prepare billing forms and dictation
Pull charts for prescription refill requests.
Complete patient prescription assistance forms.
Prepare medical records requests and send them to requesting entities. When doctors refer to outside sources, prepare all necessary medical information to be sent.
Sort through mail and file incoming medical records, labs, diagnostic reports into charts.
File charts. Purge charts when necessary.
Must be goal oriented/multitask
Must have a flexible schedule (Shifts are 8-4, 10-6, 12-8)
Must be familiar with Google sheets and Excel
Experience
Specialty medical office experience preferred.
Proficiency with google sheets/excel/scheduling programs
Computer proficient to include Microsoft Office/Excel preferred.
