Bilingual Field Services Engineer (m/f/d)
Permanent position · Full-time · Houston, TX
We are expanding our business into the US market and opening a new service location in Houston, TX. As we enter this new phase of growth, we are looking for a motivated individual to join our team and support the deployment of our product through customer service, maintenance, field service, and internal troubleshooting.
In this role, you will be working closely with our team of service technicians based at our German headquarters in Munich. The role also includes opportunities to gain knowledge and expertise from your colleagues through collaboration, as well as the potential for travel to Germany to further familiarize yourself with the company and the team.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, dynamic individual who thrives in a constantly changing environment with a broad range of responsibilities. Your tasks:
- Provide scheduled and emergency field maintenance on deployed systems
- Responsible for managing and maintaining the order of our service location in Houston, including coordinating logistics
- Manage and coordinate the organizational chain of pilot projects and field demos across the US, ensuring their successful execution
- Train customers on the products and services offered
- Handle issues and resolutions via telephone and email, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times with a positive attitude
- Oversee the correct operation of the robotic system on-site during pilot projects, including troubleshooting and maintenance
- Support and assist in upcoming system deliveries
- Maintain customer service and troubleshooting database
Your profile:
- 2+ years working directly with customers in either a technical sales or technical support role
- Knowledge and experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of electromechanical equipment
- Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Must be able to meet dynamic shift requirements, some days start earlier, sometimes there is work on the weekend
- Strongly motivated to exceed customer expectations through effective troubleshooting
- Comfortable communicating with customers and team members, able to maintain a positive attitude and drive to provide a high level of service
- Strong problem-solving skills and independent working style
- Ready to frequently travel nationally
- A hands-on approach to engineering and willingness to get your hands dirty in the workshop
- Practical experience in construction is an advantage: you understand how construction works and how people in construction think
- Has a valid US driver's license
