Responsibilities
Perform on-site MWD operations, ensuring accurate and timely data acquisition during drilling operations.
Install, calibrate, and maintain MWD equipment in accordance with industry standards and company protocols.
Collaborate with drilling engineers and geologists to optimize drilling processes and provide real-time data for decision-making.
Conduct pre-job planning, including survey calculations, trajectory design, and coordination with the drilling team.
Monitor drilling parameters and interpret data trends to identify potential drilling issues and mitigate risks.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MWD systems, including software and hardware.
Collaborate with rig personnel to ensure proper handling, installation, and maintenance of MWD tools and equipment.
Prepare accurate and comprehensive reports, including daily reports, end-of-well reports, and incident reports.
Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures during all operations.
Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to MWD technology.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
Previous experience as an MWD Field Engineer or related role is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of MWD equipment, tools, and associated technologies.
Proficient in using MWD software applications and data interpretation tools.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex drilling data and troubleshoot technical issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent travel to drilling sites.
Valid driver's license and ability to comply with company vehicle policies.
