Priority Worldwide is seeking a long-term, reliable, Export Team Manager with strong customer service skills. This candidate assumes an intricate role in our team; as a principle representative to customers, this person will manage an export team from quote to delivery. At the heart of our business, this person is responsible for timely, efficient, and cost-effective movement, routing, and management of international freight in our responsibility. As an operations leader, this person is responsible for maintaining healthy, mutually beneficial relationships with Priority’s international freight forwarding vendors and regulatory agencies. Attention to detail and willingness to learn are essential qualities. Candidates must be accommodating to different cultures and willing to work with people that may possess few English-speaking skills.

Basic Duties:

• Ensure the assigned export team is working effectively, clients are responded to quickly, and established processes are being followed.
• Be energetic and motivational to customers and employees.
• Prepare, review and present monthly departmental statistics.
• Manage workload and distribution of tasks, shipments for HQ and remote staff members.
• Review and take action on any service issues, feedback from/to ops/sales including reviewing/initiating CARS
• AES filling audits.
• Assist the Directors of Operations and Compliance as needed, for any issues related to export compliance.
• Will require travel to Baltimore MD
• Mentor and train team members, assign and review individual/team goals
• Serve as a key contact to all our clients, internal and external, and have a constant focus on excellence to provide the Ultimate Customer Experience.
• Lead weekly departmental meetings for the assigned export team.
• Promote and ensure strong team environment.
• Direct, active interaction with assigned export team to ensure awareness of all activities and taking lead role in problem resolution.
• Develop measurable statistics and goals that can be presented to team and management.

Requirements:

Key Qualities:

• Experience managing a team on a similar position
• Excellent customer service skills!
• Experience with Intermodal Exports
• 7+ years of Freight Forwarding experience
• Experience handling ITAR Compliance
• Experience with CargoWise preferred
