This role will be primarily responsible for ensuring Sponsor's U.S. exports are declared and shipped in compliance with U.S. regulations and Company standards. Effectively and compliantly execute, review and/or consult on U.S. Export shipments from all Sponsor research and clinical sites and its U.S. vendors. In this position, you will work with various intercompany partners including: Global Trade Compliance (GTC), Distribution Planning, Global Clinical Trial Operations (GTCO), site shipping personnel and Clinical and Research stakeholders and constituents across all U.S. Sponsor locations.
In this position, you will strengthen Sponsor's ability to perform U.S. Exports in an effective and compliant manner by becoming a valuable member of the team. Typical responsibilities include:
- Working with country requirements to provide relevant Trade Documentation
- Work within our Sponsor Trade Operations Standard Business Practices and align with policy set by Global Trade Compliance
- Contribute to special projects and assignments related to international trade as needed (VCP, Country Database, Country of Origin, Process Improvement, etc.)
- Influence intercompany stakeholders to comply with Standard Business Practices related to trade and/or export
- Reviewing and amending export transaction in a Global Trade Management System
- Maintain current and comprehensive knowledge of the policies and practices of the U.S. Census, U.S. Customs and other participating government agencies involved in export regulation
- Preforming export transactions in a Global Trade Management System (GTMS) for Sponsor site and vendor site exports
- Acting as primary contact for Sponsor shipping sites in U.S. Export Transactions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in years of experience, in International Trade or International Business
- Keen attention to detail, particularly in executing and reviewing declarations and documentation for adherence to export requirements
- Knowledge of US Commerce and Foreign Trade Regulations, specific to exportation
- Experience with Microsoft software products
- Prior experience with Global Trade Management Systems, i.e. SAP, Integration Point, Amber Road, or similar databases highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years functional expertise with international trade or international business.
- Trade related certifications desirable
- Prior experience interfacing with international partners
