Position Overview
Are you passionate about creating unforgettable experiences at tradeshows, conventions, and B2B events? We are seeking an Experiential Director to elevate our clients' presence at B2B events and tradeshows. As the Event Director, you will be the key point of contact for all aspects of our client's tradeshow programming. This role encompasses event planning, coordination with our creative and account teams, program design and development, staff management, on-site planning, activation, and budget oversight. You will work closely with clients from initial briefing to on-site execution and post-event recap.
In addition to your account leadership role, you will supervise a team of two coordinators to handle client communication, prioritize tasks, excel under pressure, and ensure successful program activations within tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning and execution of 60+ events, including travel to marquee events.
Manage overall project management, agendas, budgets, and communication.
Develop workflow timelines, program planning, and execution, including measurement.
Create templates for program descriptions and event concepts for client presentations.
Manage event staffing schedules.
Maintain daily communication with managers to meet client needs.
Oversee on-site activities, including pre-communication with show organizers, event setup, client engagement, premium distribution, and event breakdown.
Provide leadership, direction, and management to direct reports, including Senior Coordinators and Event Coordinators.
Handle day-to-day communication with clients, internal service groups, and third-party vendors.
Manage procurement, contracts, and execution of third-party products and services to maximize program success.
Handle trade show equipment and logistics management of varying configurations.
Requirements
Passion and expertise in tradeshows, conventions, B2B events, sports, entertainment, music, and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture.
Bachelor's degree and/or 7-10 years of work experience in event marketing, event production, or tradeshow execution.
Exceptional attention to detail and proactive task management.
Experience managing program budgets and tracking program costs.
Strong leadership presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
History of building positive relationships both internally and externally.
Ability to work effectively under short deadlines and lead a team.
Outstanding organizational skills and a commitment to excellence.
Initiative, adaptability, and reliability.
Proven experience in positions requiring discretion, judgment, tact, and poise.
Ability to lead client meetings, staff planning, and maintain project timelines and budgets.
Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including weekend/holiday travel.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Director Position: Base salary range of $70,000 - $90,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
