We are expanding our global remote team and seeking Former Admissions Officers to join us. As a Former Admissions Officer Consultant ("FAO"), you will have the opportunity to leverage your past admissions experience to guide and inspire students in their academic, extracurricular, and personal development journeys.

Responsibilities
As an FAO, you will work closely with students and collaborate with a dedicated team of Student Success Managers, tutors, mentors, and consultants. Your primary focus will be on providing guidance throughout the admissions process, including driving progress through long-term roadmaps, offering valuable insight into US and/or UK admissions processes, and providing feedback on ongoing candidacy building.
Your Tasks May Involve
Assisting students in developing their narratives and providing feedback on application essays.
Collaborating with Application Mentors to offer support for brainstorming sessions, essay revisions, and interview preparation.
Providing real-time and written feedback to students on critical aspects such as ECL recommendations, course selection, application strategy, and school selection.
Offering insights into the admissions review process to help students gain a deeper understanding of their application's context.
Maintaining expert knowledge of high school curricula, extracurricular activities, leadership choices, summer program applications, and standardized test planning to provide effective admissions strategies.
Conducting regular consulting sessions with students, documenting and sharing notes and action items using our App platform.
Maintaining open communication with fellow staff, students, and families outside of formal sessions.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success will be reflected in your ability to:
Provide valuable guidance to students at critical junctures, making use of your experience as an admissions professional.
Collaborate effectively with the student's team to execute their roadmap.
Help students understand the strengths and weaknesses of their applications, enabling them to create polished applications.
Conduct interview simulations and offer guidance to enhance students' interview performance.
Collaborate with other FAOs to simulate an admissions committee review process.
Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by developing and presenting marketing materials for seminars and expositions.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a US and/or UK university (advanced degrees welcome).
2+ years of experience working in an admissions office at a Top 30 US university, with a focus on recruitment, outreach, and application review.
Passion for coaching high school students and a global perspective.
Superior planning and organizational skills, with experience in project management, event coordination, or product management being a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Resilience and the ability to work independently under pressure.
