Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to play a pivotal role in our expanding field sales team focused on the public sector market nationwide. As the Field Sales Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to spearhead the growth of our team, contribute to defining key performance indicators (KPIs), roles, responsibilities, and success metrics. This role also entails engaging with new and existing clients regularly to understand evolving needs.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with key stakeholders to build a vibrant and successful field sales team in strategic regions across the country.
Contribute to the development and refinement of sales strategies, providing insightful recommendations and ensuring their effective implementation.
Plan and organize daily, weekly, and monthly selling activities to maximize productivity.
Foster strong collaboration with Inside Sales teams to jointly manage opportunities, deals, and orders.
Enhance brand awareness by participating in vendor fairs, conferences, educational board meetings, and district events to maintain strong relationships with decision makers.
Provide consistent coaching and guidance to each member of the sales team.
Cultivate relationships with government officials, school administrators, and community organizations to support educational initiatives and funding.
Share relevant information, such as bids, RFPs, competitor data, industry trends, and customer insights, with Inside and Outside Sales teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Executive Leadership, product development, and merchandising to address educator needs.
Stay updated on local, state, and national trends, including funding and grant opportunities.
Represent the Excelligence Brands at local, state, and national conferences.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Field Sales Management or equivalent role.
Strong relationship management skills, with a preference for experience working with school networks and superintendents.
Background or network in Education Sales is a plus.
Willingness to travel, including overnight stays, to meet customers, attend events, and support the sales team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Kustomer, and Salesforce.com.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and administrative capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
