Position Overview
As the Global Event Security Manager, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our staff, reputation, training, and assets across all remote productions and internationally owned or leased ESPN facilities. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and leading security policies, procedures, and programs.
Responsibilities
Production Sites:
Develop and implement security and emergency response plans for remote production sites.
Coordinate effectively with law enforcement, fire, medical, and other emergency resources at all locations and events.
Provide guidance and recommendations to senior staff and security coordinators.
Mentor uniformed contract security officers.
Remote Events
Approve security and emergency response plans for all events.
Analyze security risks and requirements.
Manage unit finances and costs effectively.
Cultivate partnerships with law enforcement and emergency response entities in host communities.
Oversee event security vendors and contractors.
Ensure proper functioning of security equipment and systems.
Corporate Liaison
Serve as ESPN Security’s Intelligence Officer.
Collaborate with Disney Global Security Threat Analysis Unit.
Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of remote/temporary facility and event security.
Familiarity with police, fire, medical, and emergency service procedures.
Minimum of 5 years of security industry experience with people management.
Strong managerial skills.
Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 50% or more), including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Experience in facility settings and outdoor events.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with ESPN’s security equipment, systems, procedures, and standards.
Law enforcement experience in event planning.
Strong relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
Education
Required: High school degree or equivalent.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
Additional Information
The hiring range for this remote position is $89,348.80 - $122,854.60 per year. The final compensation offer will be determined based on internal equity, geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. It may also include a bonus and/or long-term incentive units, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
