Our mission is to connect our DMC partners with leaders in the North American MICE market, and we are looking for a marketing enthusiast to join our team.
As an ambassador for our DMCs and the global business events community, you will be working closely with our team to deliver unparalleled customer service. Our clients in the USA and Canada rely on us as their trusted resource, and we take great pride in maintaining our reputation.
As a full-time team member, this marketing role will allow you to express your creativity in a fast paced environment, where every day is filled with new excitement and challenges. You will acquire invaluable skills applicable to any field, while also gaining specialized knowledge in the world of corporate hospitality.
The ideal candidate is based in the New York City area to engage in a hybrid work arrangement, however that is not a requirement. You have the flexibility to work fully remotely should you be located elsewhere.
Responsibilities:
- General administrative and managerial tasks such as coordinating travel arrangements and maintaining the office calendar.
- Create and distribute bi-monthly newsletters with relevant and timely information from our partner DMCs.
- Assist in creating sales calls itineraries for clients and partners.
- Update and maintain client information in Zoho database.
- Manage The DMC Group’s marketing platforms including social media channels (primarily LinkedIn and Instagram), create and maintain promotion calendars, communicate with partner DMCs to collect relevant promotional information, post content and interact with other relevant social media accounts.
- Coordinate the company’s participation in trade shows, various events, and sales trips.
- Create invitations and registration forms for upcoming events and educational trips.
Qualifications:
- Desire to learn about the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events) industry and a strong interest in Marketing and Sales.
- Relevant internships and/or work experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team in a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- BA/BS.
- Experience using/managing social media channels.
- Interest in travel and the travel industry with an understanding and appreciation of international destinations and cultures.
- Strong multi-tasking skills, organization skills and attention to detail.
- Tech savvy, proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with ability to learn new programs. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Mail Chimp and Splash is a plus.
