Job Description
We are looking for a self-driven, detailed-oriented, consultative Employee Relations Business Partner to join the TI Human Resources team! This position will be responsible for providing daily Human Resources guidance, resolving complex employee relations opportunities and analyzing trends.


Specific Job Functions


  • Promote direct communication and positive rapport amongst employees and managers
  • Process employee grievances in compliance with the grievance procedure
  • Ability to communicate, read and translate in Spanish preferred
  • Organizational skills to function effectively with attention to detail while meeting established deadlines a must
  • Facilitate trainings when needed
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to TI standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook necessary
  • Keep the Employee Relations Management informed on pertinent information and any irregularities
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills when dealing with business contacts
  • Solid presentation skills
  • Report findings to management of the affected department and consult with management and Employee Relations Management on appropriate course of action
  • When requested, assist with the written disciplinary documentation to ensure consistency in policy application
  • Contact supervisors, review relevant policies and objectively document facts and opinions relevant to all cases
  • Must possess excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Responsible for the daily administrative of Union contracts while maintaining consistency and accuracy
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings with management and employees when a problem occurs to effectively resolve disputes which may arise from interpretations or actions involving human resources, company policy or contractual language
  • Coach and train operational departments on various aspects of the business from a Human Resource prospective
  • Consult with operators and provide Human Resources guidance daily
  • Provide guidance and counsel to management on employee-related problems which could result in verbal or written discipline
  • Investigate and evaluate cases of employee dissatisfaction or discipline
  • Ability to enforce the organization’s policies, practices and procedures
  • Provide analytic analysis of trends within the Employee Relations Department
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the Employee Relations/Labor Relations field required
  • Provide case information for employee grievances in compliance with the grievance procedure to management of the affected department and Employee Relations Management
  • Process suspension pending investigation cases, including scheduling, conducting, and documenting due process meetings, interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence, including statements, video surveillance, pictures, and any other documents relevant to the case
  • Process reverse suspension pending investigations, meet with the department to determine best course of action
  • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written forms necessary
