We are currently seeking a talented E-Learning Designer to join our team on a contract, contract-hire, or direct hire basis. This position, based in the vibrant city of Chicago, IL, offers the flexibility to work remotely while ensuring occasional onsite collaboration.
As an E-Learning Designer, you will play a crucial role in supporting various departments across our organization by designing, producing, maintaining, and distributing e-learning lessons and instructional materials. Your expertise will help define and uphold the highest standards for our innovative e-learning program.
Responsibilities
Foster creativity: Develop captivating templates and style guidelines for all e-learning lessons within our Epic training program.
Maintain consistency: Ensure that all existing e-learning lessons conform to our template and style guidelines.
Drive innovation: Push the boundaries of our IM e-learning program, exploring new possibilities and techniques.
Dynamic collaboration: Co-teach application classes and provide backup instruction when needed to support large audiences effectively.
Comprehensive support: Contribute to the development and maintenance of written training deliverables for IM applications as required.
Agile response: Address ad-hoc requests promptly, demonstrating your flexibility and adaptability.
Track progress: Define a robust process for monitoring and managing completion and compliance of IM e-learning across the entire organization.
Project coordination: Take charge of assigned projects or specific phases, creating detailed work plans, timelines, and reports, while identifying and securing the necessary resources.
Service excellence: Embrace our customer service focus, delivering exceptional care and support to our patients, families, co-workers, and other stakeholders.
Continuous improvement: Embrace opportunities for growth and contribute to the enhancement of our team's capabilities.
Additional contributions: Complete any other duties assigned, demonstrating your commitment to our shared success.
Qualifications
Education and experience: Associate's Degree in learning systems or information systems technology, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree.
Tech-savvy mindset: Proficiency in learning, authoring, and publishing tools such as Visio, Adobe Captivate, Flash, Flex, or Articulate Presenter, among others.
Preferred certifications: American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) e-Learning Certification, Adobe Application Certification, and/or Epic's TED (Training, Environment, and Documentation) course.
Epic expertise: Completion of Epic's ELN 200 course is highly desired, and current Epic certification is a plus, or the ability to complete certification within three (3) months of employment.
Tech literacy: Strong working knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Windows OS, and applications.
Communication prowess: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
Stellar interpersonal skills: A customer-centric approach, combined with exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities.
Project management finesse: Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prepare comprehensive documentation and meet established objectives.
Integrity and confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality concerning employee/patient information and hospital operations.
