Vice President - Energy Transition Investments (M/F/T)

Your Responsibilities

• Contribute to the overall strategic planning and decision-making processes of ETI.
• Participate in the monitoring and management of portfolio companies, including financial performance analysis, strategic planning, operational improvements and evaluating exit strategies.
• Lead or support the execution of investment transactions, including negotiations, structuring, and documentation.
• Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes that may impact investments or portfolio companies.
• Collaborate with internal and external service providers, such as legal, tax, and financial advisors, to ensure compliance and optimize investment structures.
• Participate in deal sourcing and evaluation by identifying potential investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and analyzing and preparing financial models.
• Supporting senior members of the team in preparing and delivering presentations to senior management
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, management teams, advisors, and industry professionals.
• Collaborate with senior team members to develop and execute investment strategies and identify value creation opportunities.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging investment sectors or opportunities.

Your profile

• Attention to detail
• Previous relevant work experience relating to the energy industry, including utilities, generation assets, energy supplychain, renewable energy, energy trading, supply and sales
• Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory
• Strong excel modelling skills including the ability to build and run discounted cash flow models
• Evidence of application of quantitative and qualitative analytical and structured approaches to complex issues
• Ability to communicate the results and implications of complex analysis clearly to senior members of ETI and RWEST Board
• Excellent understanding of the fundamentals of valuation, credit, and cash flow analysis
• Bachelor's degree (required) in numerate subject
• Strong team player
• Self-starter, ability to prioritise work and work unsupervised

Advantageous

• 4-6 years of investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance experience, or M&A/principal investment experience within an energy company.

The position reports to a Principal. ETI is a small team and the role will involve direct interactions with the Global Head of the fund, other Principals, and external counterparties.
