Director, Supply Chain, Management Consulting

• Use qualitative and quantitative data to design new and/or improve existing facility operations. Examples of analyses to include: shop floor layout, shifts and schedules, equipment performance, runtimes, and downtimes, supply chain planning, SMED, OEE
• Challenge yourself with new problems multiple times per year – over 35% of our projects are from first time clients, with the velocity of new clients increasing every year
• Assist Client Development team with market research (industry activity, targets, deal research, and marketing opportunities)
• Support firm Supply Chain practice development efforts, not limited to, but including methodology refresh, IP development, tool and template creation, etc.
• Mentor teammates and lead internal activities which drive professional development, internal collaboration and SSA’s unique culture
• Grow with the firm in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment – SSA & Company has nearly doubled in the past three years and is on pace to continue this trajectory
• Collaborate with senior clients to enhance the materials location and inventory management, network rationalization, 3PL and transportation providers
• Work closely with the client to analyze both operational processes and metrics (performance and financial) of the client to assess project opportunities that positively impact supply chain performance and overall business impact

• Collaborate with the full firm and participate in our firm-wide events (both in person and virtual)

• Comfortable with extensive travel
• Proven success contributing to a team-oriented environment both as an individual contributor and a team leader
• Must be a self-starter with a commitment to high quality
• Education: Business, Economics or Engineering Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred
• 3-5 years of prior consulting experience in a management consulting firm or internal consulting experience for a Fortune 500 company
• Excellent leadership, ethics, communication (written and oral), project management and interpersonal skills
• 6+ years of experience operating from a strategic perspective in driving supply chain planning and execution, particularly in supply chain planning, lean manufacturing, and shop floor scheduling.
• Computer skills: High degree of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required, experience with Visio, Minitab or R, Power BI, Tableau or other data visualization software is preferred
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Understanding of supply chain technology used to further enhance supply chain capabilities (i.e., SC planning & forecasting tools, warehouse technology, analytics and data visualization tools, etc.)
• Project management experience in creating workplans and managing and delivering supply chain programs and projects

SSA & Company provides a competitive salary range for our open requisitions. Actual salary is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, education, and other business and organizational needs. The range of starting annual salary for this role is $200,000 - $255,000. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for performance-based incentives and a competitive benefits package.
