Job Description

General Description:
The Director Supply Chain Systems GTS will be a member of the Global Technology Solutions team, and be the lead Technology Business Partner for the Global Supply Chain organization. In this role, you will interface and support the global Supply Chain team to collaborate, provide technology leadership and governance support. You will partner with the Global Supply Chain teams in providing holistic technology solutions that supports business strategy, realize value, and transform our ways of working. You must ensure reliable operation and implementation of all Supply Chain platforms & systems for commercial manufacturing facilities. You must be a self-starter and demonstrate excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate and collaborate with employees, partners, and management at all levels. This is a hands-on leadership role, and we are looking for someone who will build the team while leading projects independently.
Essential Functions of the job:
  • Lead/support site projects and ongoing business-driven change initiatives leading to value driven business cases, focus on outcomes with well-defined implementation plans
  • Monitor external industry trends and supplier capabilities with a view for continuous improvement
  • Acts as the principal interface between Global Supply Chain and GTS to solicit and formulate and manage implementation plans (including vendor proposals/ contracts), engage cross-functional stakeholders, execute technology projects, ensure robust investment gover and measure business outcomes/ROI
  • Develop, implement and maintain systems for supply demand planning and management for operations across regions, business units and products
  • Experience in developing strategies for new product introduction and new technology deployment
  • Robust design and architectural skills and have proven record in building scalable systems.
  • Generate and maintain a strategic digital roadmap for the Supply Chain capability, with ongoing demand management, resource management, release planning and drive incremental capabilities
  • Serve as the GTS Supply Chain Lead and interface for the Global Supply Chain organization and develop effective business relationships with key Supply Chain leaders and stakeholders
  • Partner with TechOps and Commercial projects working directly with the supply chain team to plan and execute on defined scope, budget, and transformation results
  • Partner with GTS colleagues to leverage shared services where applicable, drive economies of scale and value realization through process and technology harmonization and aligning with the global GTS strategy
  • Review and assess demand requests, explore new ideas and enhancements, relating to Supply Chain Technologies, Digital 4.0, data integration & analytics
  • Lead ERP/MRP implementation for the Supply Chain organization in the pharma/biotech domain
Other Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a pharma/biotech Supply Chain or operations environment. Strong experience with software lifecycle methodologies, business analysis and process mapping, 21CFR Part 11 compliance, computer systems validation (CSV). Strong experience with any of the following platforms: SAP, ERP/MRP, Supply Chain platforms. Experience authoring and reviewing standard operating procedures, on-the-job-trainings, and other controlled documents. Experience in managing small to medium-sized projects and outside vendors. Familiarity with DevOps concepts, agile development, web and mobile application engineering technologies, database and data integration technologies
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technological field and minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in building, configuring, and supporting Supply Chain, MRP, ERP & Digital 4.0 systems, or
Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technological field and minimum 5 years of relevant work experience building, configuring, and supporting Supply Chain, MRP, ERP & Digital 4.0 systems

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Will have technical leadership or supervisory responsibilities over the Supply Chain technology team.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge of new platforms, languages, tools and technologies
  • Solid leadership, technical writing, and communication/presentation skills
  • Strong team player who engages with peers to define, sponsor, and execute continuous improvements.
Travel: Periodic domestic and international travel Less than 10%.
This role requires periodic travel at short notice to our new plant at Hopewell NJ.

Salary Range: $156,200.00 - $216,200.00 annually

Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
